COMEDY SKETCH PROJECT
For our Comedy Sketch project we had to create our own plots to our sketches. We also were required to participate in the acting aspect of our sketches as well. With a lot of practicing, editing, time, and effort we were able to create our final draft of our sketch.
SKETCH BLURB
Our sketch was inspired by adding creepy and stalkerish to a storefront employee. The sketch came to life while thinking of absurd but creepy things a storefront employee can do or say in order for the costumers to buy what they are selling. The premise of our sketch is that the storefront employee persuade customer to buy store product by relating it to there really personal life.
We incorporate things that a store employee shouldn't know about there costumers to persuade them to buy the following products: candles. In order to keeping the joke alive, we exaggerate on things the employee knows about each customer. To add more humor to this sketch we add absurd names to the candles along with a scent that don't seem to go well with one another. The way the character act makes our sketch a character based & absurd satire. Since we didn't know how to act like a storefront employee we examined employee at the mall and how they act. We also watched multiple SNL Target Lady episode to get the absurd/ character based vibe for our sketch.
